Penguins Gameday 10/28/09 - Montreal

It feels nice to back in the saddle doing pregames for PensUniverse, having a week off to spend some time with the family was nice, but man do I miss the Pens. Quite frankly after the boring loss to the NJ Devils on Saturday it feels like a month has gone by since the Pens last played.

So what has gone on since the Penguins last played? Well, Pascal Dupuis was "banned" from practice. Not because he pulled a Larry Johnson and made fun of the coach but because Dupuis' kids got him sick.

Going into tonight's game the big news is the Tyler Kennedy will not dress tonight, he's out with an undisclosed injury. Kennedy is listed day-to-day so it seems on the surface the injury is not serious. However the big storyline for me is the return of the USS Hal Gill to Pittsburgh. Hopefully Montreal head coach Jacques Martin will do the right thing and let Gill start vs. his former team. Gill will get a huge ovation but when he destroys someone into the boards most of us will likely forget last year, until he has to turn to play the puck into the corner boards. Penguins Bill Guerin took the first jab at Gill saying Montreal "added speedsters like Hal Gill, so we will probably have a guy on him just to shut him down." With TK's injury the lines going into tonight have an interesting twist. Chris Bourque gets a HUGE oppurtunity playing along side Evgeni Malkin and Russlan Fedotenko.

Here are the tonight's lines:

Kunitz-Crosby-Guerin
Bourque-Malkin-Fedotenko
Cooke-Staal-Adams
Dupuis-Rupp-Godard

Orpik-Letang
Eaton-Skoula
McKee-Goligoski

Fleury
