Penguins Gameday 1-25-10 Another Division Rival

Tonight the Pittsburgh Penguins head up to the Big Apple to face the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden. The Pens play the second game of a back to back road trip versus their division rival. Pittsburgh coming off yesterdays 2-1 victory over the Flyers are a little banged up and Alex Goligoski and Bill Guerrin are out of tonight lineups. Both players are listed day to day and will have to be further evaluated says head coach Dan Bylsma. Max Talbot is not 100% healthy so the Pens have recalled Chris (not Bourque) Conner to the team. Here are your projected line ups from the Pens website.

Here are the highlights from the last game vs. the Rangers and the PensUniverse recap here:

I couldn't imagine playing in back to back games, I needed a nap from back to back days at work today. Thankfully for the Pens Marc-Andre Fleury is back in the line up tonight giving Brent Johnson a well deserved rest.

More fallout from yesterday's game as Flyers Aaron Asham accused Matt Cooke for biting his hand, Cooke denies the chomp but gives me a great quote for my pregame.

He (Asham) is allowed to say whatever he wants. It’s a free country. It doesn’t bother me at all. I think I have proven myself. This year I have fought three times already. If I have to, I will, but not at times where we have to play. Cooke continues about his history with Asham. Nope. Not at all. Frankly I had Hartnell and I didn’t know he couldn’t handle himself. He made some accusations at me after the fact but it was a 1-1 hockey game with 10 minutes left. I’m sure I am not the first one to say no to fighting him, so whatever.
