Penguins Gameday - 10/02/09

Close your eyes and remember where you were on June 12th, for one more night you get to relive that memory. The third Stanley Cup Banner will be raised in the rafters of the Mellon arena. A year of hard work and dedication, a year of blood, sweat, and tears, and a year of memories ends tonight.

I have a few questions for the start of this season:

1. Can the power play move into the elite of the NHL?
2. Will the Penguins find a dominate face-off man?
3. Can MAF become an elite goaltender?
4. Can the Pens maintain the energy to play Bylsma's system for a full year?

Tonight the Pens open the season against the New York Rangers, and newest addition Marian Gabroik. Marian gives the rangers a youthful scoring punch they haven't had in a long time, but can he stay healthy for an entire season is yet to be seen.
