Penguins Gameday 12/03/09 - The Only Snow in Town

Its December 3rd, the Pittsburgh Penguins are hosting the Colorado Avalanche tonight at the Mellon. The Avalanche are the first sight of snow in Pittsburgh this year...fitting there is a chance of Flurries tonight (not of the Marc-Andre kind either).

First some injury news, Head Coach Dan Bylsma updated the injuries to Chris Kunitz and Alex Goligoski. Kunitz is not skating but is continuing to rehab his injury, while Go-Go is skating and taking things on a day to day basis.

The highlights from the last meeting vs. Colorado.

Your projected lines from the Pens website:

Talbot-Crosby-Guerin
Dupuis-Malkin-Fedotenko
Rupp-Staal-Kennedy
Bourque-Adams-Godard

Gonchar-Orpik
McKee-Letang
Eaton-Skoula

Fleury

Sid Crosby on Mike Rupp. "He is playing some great hockey. He is a hard guy to stop, he really is. He has a hard shot. He is dangerous from those shooting areas. He is a big body and a hard guy to move around the net. It is a tough responsibility for anybody to move him off the puck."

My thoughts for the game:

1.) Be ready to grind out a goal or two.
2.) A goal or two on the Power Play would be nice.
3.) Mr. Kennedy
