NHL Center Ice Discounted, Not Free

The rumors were out there maybe the NHL would give the fans something nice, besides hockey, when the lockout ended when it came to the league's broadcast packages. Something nice, as in free NHL Center Ice. Well it's won't be free, but it's certainly discounted.

Announced today, NHL Center Ice will be offered for $49.99. That's a breakdown of $14.99/month. A free preview will be available through the end of January.

For those of you watching games legally on the Internet, GameCenter will run you $50.
