Penguins Pregame 4/10/10 - Two Points and a Hat Trick

Doing the pregame today with paint all over the place, asked the wife if she had any input for the pregame today.

"Game at 7 its on FSN, thank you."

I may be out of a job soon! Actually there is a couple of things I would like to see come out of tonights game. Stay healthy is a very important piece, I really don't want to see Sid, Geno, Gonch, and MAF come up lame during a shift. Secondly, we don't need the two points, but let's be a little realistic here. The longer we don't have to face New Jersey or Washington the better. Lastly, I think it is important to find consistent line combinations for once, granted with Poni being out for the last two games this will be hard to accomplish.

The projected lines from this mornings practice.

Dupuis-Crosby-Guerin
Talbot-Malkin-Fedotenko
Cooke-Staal-Kennedy
Rupp-Adams-Godard

Gonchar-Eaton
Orpik-Letang
Leopold-Goligoski

Fleury

Sid Crosby is now second in goals this season behind Capt. Caveman (from @whistler) Alex Ovechkin who got his 50Th last night. Sid gives the usual answer on whether he is thinking about leading the league in goals and/or points.

I want to play well. That is something that will come with it. For us it has to be about these next two games. We have to make sure that we put ourselves in the best position possible and hopefully get some help to get second place.

My Keys for tonight.

1.) Stay Healthy

2.) Let Sid Score

3.) Get ready for the playoffs.

4.) Don't let any Steelers get arrested while in Georgia.
