Pens beat Hawks, trim roster, and podcast

In their second preseason game, the Penguins battle back to score four unanswered goals in the third period to defeat the Blackhawks 4-1. Goals were scored by Staal (2) , Kennedy and Cooke. Nick Johnson was also a stud last night with 2 assists. Kennedy and Staal were both +3.

Ray Emery for the Blackhawks was in true form last night, giving up all 4 Pens goals. Looks like he'll be back behind the anchor desk on the NHL Network.

Pens host Minnesota for a day game Saturday in their last home preseason game. Puck drop is at 3:00 p.m. and can been seen once again on NHL Network for those living outside Pittsburgh. NHL Network would not confirm if Emery would be working.

Quick Notes:

Three more players were sent to Wilks-Barre/Scranton on Friday. Forwards Bryan Lerg, Zach Sill and Kevan Veilleux. A total of 39 players are left on the Pens training camp roster.
